I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
